Maca: “Perus Natural Viagra” | Functional Solutions for Living

Greetings everyone! Welcome to the first post in our series on
Today we are going to learn about the Maca root, or what the Peruvians call The Magic root and what westerners are increasingly calling natural Viagra.
I have been taking Maca for about a month and am definitely experiencing a noticable increase in my sexual/athletic powers, my energy level and my overall sense of well being.
Bottom lineit works!
It is safe in high doses and in fact, the more you consume the better. I use raw organic red Maca from Natural Zing. I take two to three tablespoons/day in a drink mixed with other superfoods such as Cocao (raw chocolate), Mesquite Pods, HempSeed protein powder, Flax Seeds, Lycium (Goji) Berries, Camu Camu, Quinoa and whatever else I can get my hands on. I put anything that is not powdered into my coffee/spice grinder to make it easier to mix and digest. Most people prefer smoothies. I just throw it all into a mason jar with filtered or spring water, shake and drink but thats just how I am.
The following was written by Chris Kilham, aka The Medicine hunter. Chris travels the world in search of traditional, plant-based medicines, and works with shamans, healers, growers, harvesters, scientists, trade officials and other plant medicine experts in dozens of countries.
Chris motto is, I want people using safer medicine. And that means plant medicine.
I could not agree more and use as wide a variety of plants in my diet that I can and recomend everyone else do the same. Especially the which include herbs, seeds, nuts, legumes and other plants.
Maca: Perus Natural Viagra
The South American country of Peru is home to numerous beneficial plants, including Peruvian maca root, a legendary sex-enhancing root passed down from the Inca. Id heard about Peruvian maca herb and extract for years. Peruvian maca root has been dubbed Peruvian ginseng, even though it bears no relation to ginseng. But like ginseng, the maca plant is employed into a Peruvian maca extract to increase strength, energy, stamina, libido and sexual function, a winning combination of health benefits if there ever was one.
To investigate macas health benefits and understand the role that maca plays in Peruvian culture, my wife and I headed down to Peru to explore the maca trail. In the process we met with maca traders, growers and scientists, and came back tremendously impressed by this plant, which is now available as a supplement in U.S. health food stores.
What is Maca
Maca, Lepidium meyenii, is an annual plant which produces a radish-like root. The root of maca is typically dried and stored, and will easily keep for seven years. The plant is cultivated in the Junin plateau of Perus Central Highlands, and was highly revered by the Inca.
During the height of the Incan empire, legend has it that Incan warriors would consume maca before entering into battle. This would make them fiercely strong. But after conquering a city the Incan soldiers were prohibited from using maca, to protect the conquered women from their powerful sexual impulses. Thus as far back as 500 years ago, macas reputation for enhancing strength, libido and fertility was already well established in Peru.
Today, macas popularity is very much on the increase, as people discover that the plant really does boost libido, sexual function and overall energy. Acreage in Peru dedicated to Maca cultivation is increasing every year to meet demand, and a number of scientists have turned their attention to the properties of the root. In Peru, maca is used by men and by women who want to put more fire into their sex lives. And in the U.S., Europe and Japan, dietary supplements containing maca are gaining ardent devotees.
Maca Nutrition
What natural ingredients in maca promote its reputed sex-enhancing effects? In-depth analysis of maca conducted in 1998 by Dr. Qun Yi Zheng and his colleagues at PureWorld Botanicals shows that maca contains about 10 percent protein, almost 60 percent carbohydrate, and an assortment of fatty acids. These ingredients are common and nothing special. But the investigators also discovered two groups of novel compounds, the macamides and the macaenes. These agents are believed to be directly responsible for macas sex-boosting powers.
To test this idea, researchers conducted a series of controlled animal experiments, the results of which were published in the April 2000 issue of the medical journal Urology. Rodents fed MacaPure extract, which contains a concentration of macamides and macaenes, demonstrated greatly increased energy and stamina. The animals also exhibited a striking increase in sexual activity as compared with non-maca-fed animals, or those fed lesser amounts of macamides and macaenes. So how does this translate to humans? Individuals who consume maca also get sexual results. Men and women with low libido feel a boost in sexual desire, and men with erectile problems notice marked improvement in sexual function.
Maca Use in Peru
In Peru, maca is a food. At the Third Annual Maca Festival in Churin, Peru, we sampled numerous products made with the sex-enhancing root. Peruvians make cookies, cakes, hot porridge, chips and blender drinks with maca root, which has a pleasant flavor similar to graham flour.
At several booths, women were making maca blender drinks. Maca roots soaked in jars of water, and the tables were laden with all the ingredients for a drink. The typical shake includes a couple of soaked maca roots and a little bit of the soak water, a handful of fresh papaya (trucked up from the warm lowlands), some condensed milk, an egg, honey and vanilla, all put together with vigor and smiles. I asked a number of people why they used maca, but one woman stands out in my mind. She smiled at my question and replied, Well, for the sex, of course.
Doctors Comment on Maca
Users arent the only ones making comments about maca. The root and its extracts are used in medical practice in Peru. In the November 1988 Townsend Letter for Doctors, physicians were quoted regarding the therapeutic and salutary uses of maca. Doctor Hugo Malaspina, M.D., a cardiologist practicing complementary medicine in Lima, Peru, has been using maca in his practice for 10 years.
Malaspina first found out about maca through a group of sexually active older men who were taking the herb with good results. One of this group started taking maca and found he was able to perform satisfactorily in a sexual relationship with a lady friend. Soon everyone in the group began drinking the powdered maca as a beverage and enjoying the boost that the root was giving their hormonal functions. I have several of these men as patients, and their improvement prompted me to find out more about maca and begin recommending it to my other patients.
Another Peruvian physician, Doctor Aguila Calderon, M.D., is the former dean of the Faculty of Human Medicine at the National University of Federico Villarreal in Lima. Doctor Calderon uses maca for male impotence, erectile dysfunction, menopausal symptoms and general fatigue, and claims good results.
Arizona physician Gary Gordon, M.D., former president of the American College for Advancement in Medicine, is also a maca supporter. We all hear rumors about various products like maca. But using this Peruvian root myself, I personally experienced a significant improvement in erectile tissue response. I call it natures answer to Viagra.
What I see in maca is a means of normalizing our steroid hormones like testosterone, progesterone and estrogen. Therefore it has the facility to forestall the hormonal changes of aging. It acts on men to restore them to a healthy functional status in which they experience a more active libido.
How Much Maca Should You Take?
Keep in mind that maca is a food, and is not used in tiny quantities. Most supplement companies that are selling maca are putting about 500 milligrams of ground, dried maca in each capsule. Some recommend three capsules daily, some six.
I believe that many people think of herbs like drugs, and assume that small amounts will do some good. In most cases, thats not true. As a rule, consumers take too little of most herbs to derive the benefits those herbs can impart. Rare is the herb that works in small doses. And many herbal product labels offer dosage recommendations based not on efficacy, but on price.
To be consistent with Peruvian use youd take a minimum of six to ten 500-milligram capsules of powdered maca daily, equal to 3,000 to 5,000 milligrams of maca. You can certainly take more. You can also obtain powdered maca root under some brands. With those products, you can toss a tablespoon full into a blender drink every day and enjoy maca the way the Peruvians do.
MacaPure, which is a standardized, concentrated extract of maca, is a different story. Companies selling MacaPure are recommending one 450-milligram capsule of MacaPure extract twice daily, equal to 900 milligrams of MacaPure extract. I personally think that four to five capsules (between 1,800 and 2,250 milligrams) daily is the right range.
The more maca or maca extract you consume, the more benefit you are likely to get. In toxicity studies conducted in the U.S., maca showed absolutely no toxicity and no adverse pharmacologic effects. In animal studies, the more maca animals consume, the stronger and more sexually active they become. You can be generous with the amounts of maca products you take. With maca, you have a safe, effective, nontoxic way to significantly boost your sexual function, without the hazards of prescription drugs.
[Editor's note: While natural herbs can have many positive effects on your health, including restoring or improving your sex drive, you should discuss the use of specific herbs with your doctor. Most herbs are safe on their own but your doctor can help you know if they can have potential adverse interactions with other medications you may be taking or other health conditions you have.]
I would again like to thank Chris and refer you to his excellent website, Medicinehunter.com.

Similar posts: viagra for men

Radiographers Blog: CT ANGIOGRAPHY (a comparison betwixt greatest

Basics of Computed Tomography

Computed Tomography also known as computed axial tomography, or CAT scan, medical technology that uses X rays and computers to produce three-dimensional images of the human body. Unlike traditional X rays, which highlight dense body parts, such as bones, CT provides detailed views of the body's soft tissues, including blood vessels, muscle tissue, and organs, such as the brain. While conventional X rays provide flat two-dimensional images, CT images depict a cross-section of the body.

The CT scanner contains an X-ray source, which emits beams of X rays; an X-ray detector, which monitors the number of X rays that strike various parts of its surface; and a computer. The source and detector face each other on the inside of the scanner ring and are mounted so that they rotate around the rim of the scanner. Beams from the X-ray source pass through the patient and are recorded on the other side by the detector. As the source and detector rotate in a 360 circle around the patient, X-ray emissions are recorded from many angles. The resulting data are sent to the computer, which interprets the information and translates it into images that appear as cross-sections on a television monitor. By moving the patient within the scanner, a series of parallel images, called slices can be obtained. Doctors analyze a series of slices to understand the three-dimensional structure of the body.

To enhance an image, patients may be given an injection of a substance that will increase the contrast between different tissues. The patient may also be asked to drink a liquid that makes intestines more
clearly visible in the CT scan. Contrast agents are commonly used for scans of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. The speed at which CT slices are obtained has increased dramatically since this technology was developed during the late 1960s and early 1970s by British engineer Sir Godfrey Newbold Hounsfield and American physicist Allan MacLeod Cormack. The first CT scanner required 4.5 minutes of scanning and 1.5 minutes of computer reconstruction to generate a single slice. The latest generation of CT scanners create a slice in fraction of a second.

CT was first used to view the tissues of the brain, and this is still its most frequent application. CT of the brain can show if an accident victim has sustained a brain injury, or if bleeding is occurring in the brain of a stroke victim. CT is also commonly used to diagnose disorders involving the chest, abdomen, spine, and pelvis. CT may be used to determine the location and size of a cancerous tumor and whether the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Newer applications for CT include CT angiography, which provides detailed images of the interior of small blood vessels.

Some experts once expected that CT would be replaced by the newer technology of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which uses magnetically charged protons within the body to create diagnostic images. Nevertheless, CT continues to have several advantages over MRI, including lower cost, wider availability, shorter examination time, superior imaging of the chest and abdomen, and the ability to create images without the strong magnetic field required by MRI. At present, CT and MRI are complementary, rather than competitive technologies.

SPIRAL C.T. (SCT)

Spiral C.T. (SCT) with slip ring technology had a dramatic impact on the approach to C.T. scanning since its introduction, especially at 'speed' of scanning. Spiral C.T. allows 3-D imaging that is useful for vascular imaging imaging of hollow viscera especially the virtual endoscopy has become a reality with SCT. The new hardware and software packages and computer guided Automatic Scanning Technique (C.A.S.T) allows monitoring real time contrast enhancement following administration of I.V. contrast in target organs or vessels (not bolus contrast medium advance), which in turn reduces the amount of C.M. to be used.

Spiral C.T. had a dramatic impact of change of protocols in the form of change in parameters, length of spiral exposure, inter relationship between pitch and collimators, 3-D image displays and above all, proper understanding of I.V. contrast dynamics when compared to C.C.T.. In C.C.T., scans are generally performed with 2 seconds scan time and an interscan delay (ISD) of 6-7 seconds. But in SCT not only the scan but also the ISD for a long length of a segment of the body has been eliminated by volumetric scanning. SCT is expected to replace the CCT eventually by volumetric scanning due to its wide spread clinical applications and acceptance.Such ultrafast scanning has virtually eliminated artifacts occurring as a result of motion. Spatial and contrast resolutions are superior with SCT than CCT.

There are certain limitations of low end SCT. These are limitations of mAs (especially in large patients) in whom scan time have to be increased to 1.5 times. Otherwise with lower mAs, the images are excessively grainy, only higher MHU tubes and refinement of detector technology will decrease these limitations.

IMPORTANCE OF SPIRAL C.T. IN COmputerised Tomography Angiography

The area in which spiral scanning has made the greatest impact is in vascular imaging. CT Angiography is a minimally invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. CT angiography has been shown to be effective in a number of vascular systems including the renal arteries, the aorta and its main branches, the cerebral circulation, the portal venous system, and the pulmonary arteries. Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) and surface rendering were the 3-D techniques which had been primarily applied to CT angiographic applications. Both of these techniques have important shortcomings which ultimately limit the clinical usefulness of the resulting images. But volume rendering is becoming the preferred 3-D rendering technique for CT angiography.

In CT angiography (CTA), computed tomography using a contrast material produces the detailed pictures. CT imaging uses special x-ray equipment to produce multiple images and a computer to join them together in cross-sectional views. A firm understanding of fundamental principles underlying CT angiography including spiral CT acquisition, image processing, and image display are required in order to get consistently excellent results over a wide range of clinical applications. One of the most compelling advantages of CT angiography is the ability to provide all of the information which previously required two or more radiological studies which may, in the case of conventional angiography, be much more expensive than CT. Image processing techniques such as volume rendering enhance this ability, allowing the radiologist and clinician to interactively explore different aspects of the dataset to address many specific questions which impact patient management.

Similar posts: maximum heart rates

EL33TONLINE: Review - The Punisher: No Mercy (PS3)

Vitaliy called me from Russia today. Well, he called me, then I called him back thru Skype. Dont we love Skype? 7 cents/min to talk to him.
He is doing awesome, just finished a 3- or 4-day trek up a mountain. Said they are acclimating to the altitude. Its snow/ice climbing there where he is. Says the base camp has a doctor and other emergency personnel. He is ecstatic about it all and doing an awesome job. Sheesh, he is so athletic. Hes in his element.
Fasting is going well. My mouth is so dry all day. I think I need to drink more water all the time. Im doing juices, too.
The main lesson of this fast so far: I am actually learning by experience something we know and hear. You have to be today who you want to be.
I have to be today the person I want to be. I have to make small choices all day today in order to be the person i want to be today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, next decade . . . .
OK, I want to be a thin, healthy person. I go throughout my day, and before this fast, I made lots of choices all day that were things I wanted in the momentlike to eat that chocolate, drink that cappuchino, eat that leftover banana bread, etc.choices that gratified me for a moment, but stole away the person I want to be.
I rob myself.
So today, for example, who am I? I want to be a healthy persons my goal. All throughout the day, small temptations come up to eat this bite, drink that thing. And i have to say, no, I will not, I will be right now the person that I desire to be.
Self-discipline.
Ouch.
But the end is pleasure, because in the end, and all throughout the day, I choose, by the grace and power of God, to be the person He wants me to be, that I want to be.
Wow. Its rewarding. Not the fleeting reward of a second, but a fuller satisfaction.

Similar posts: mercy health center

Some other Progression to Breast Redemption - Sharing a Wonder | Breast Cancer

(The information contained in this article does not constitute medical advice; please consult a physician if you have questions about breast health issues raised in this article.)
?
My first time through breast cancer the highways of treatment over which I traveled were the typical cut, poison, and burn routine.?First the surgeon extracted the tumor and surrounding tissue in a lumpectomy.?Then I endured a chemotherapy called CMF, a toxic, colorless cocktail of three chemicals:?cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, and fluorouracil. ?Finally, my breast was radiated for six weeks to seal the fate of any remaining cancerous cells lurking within. ?This article focuses on my experience with chemo.
?
The most common short-term side effects of chemotherapy include fatigue, hair loss, nausea, mucositis (irritation of the lining of the mouth and intestines), increased risk of infection (due to low white-blood-cell counts), and anemia (due to low red-blood-cell counts).?
?
I didnt experience all of these side effects.?My hair thinned, but did not disappear.?My blood-cell counts decreased, but not so much that I couldnt take a cross-country two-week vacation.?I didnt suffer any infections during the entire three months of chemo treatment.
?
Between chemotherapy infusions the technicians religiously took blood samples from me like overeager vampire bats.?The blood draws were performed to determine if my red- and white-blood-cell counts were too low for me to be treated. ?Because my blood was being checked so frequently, my good arm (the one without the lymph nodes removed from the armpit) was feeling the effects of these extra pokes in addition to the I.V. pricks.?Fortunately, my veins did not collapse.
?
The nurses frequently solved the I.V. problem by sticking my arm in a bucket of hot water to make the veins more accessible.?While this technique was not fool-proof, by Gods grace it usually worked and the veins in my arm were able to tough out the entire treatment.?
?
While I did not lose all my hair, the CMF concoction stopped my periods cold about one month after the first infusion.?My research to uncover information on breast cancer revealed that CMF was more likely to trigger menopause than regimens containing Adriamycin (chemical name:?doxorubicin) or Taxol/Taxotere (chemical names:?paclitaxel/docetaxel). ??But Adriamycin is a particularly harsh chemo drug, more so than CMF, causing certain hair loss, markedly reduced white- and red-blood cell counts, and usually severe nausea.?And Taxol/Taxotere can cause peripheral neuropathy, a numbness in fingers and toes.
?
As a normal ten-year period of menopause was condensed into a few months due to chemo, my body found itself adjusting to a sudden reduction in estrogen, leading to night sweats, hot flashes, and mood swings.?Not to mention bone loss, insomnia, and risk to the heart.?It was difficult to determine whether menopause or chemo treatment was causing any particular symptom.?I used a Chillow foam pillow for night sweats, melatonin for inducing sleep, and calcium and Vitamin D to prevent bone loss.
?
Exhaustion was another challenge.?To prevent fatigue often accompanying chemotherapy, patients should initiate mild-to-moderate exercise such as walking 10-20 minutes every day. ?Physical activity after treatment not only can improve fatigue, but offers psychological benefits. ?Breast cancer patients who exercise feel more resilient and less depressed than those who are sedentary.
?
When I was tired from lack of sleep and did not eat or exercise properly, I noticed I couldnt concentrate well.?This mental fog, commonly known as chemo brain, causes temporary confusion and inability to do calculations, as well as mild forgetfulness.?I addressed my concentration and memory problems by making lists, leaving messages on electronic calendars or voice mail to remind myself of things, and using a daily planner to jot down notes regarding urgent tasks.?
?
As to dietary alternatives during chemo, a physician can recommend their use only if they have been proven effective for their intended purpose. ?My own anecdotal evidence is that supplements (such as melatonin and iron) can help.?To me, their sole benefit was to alleviate certain side effects of Western medicine.?With diminished side-effects, I was a happier patient, willing to brave continued treatment with clinically proven drugs.
?
When I conducted cyberspace research to locate information on breast cancer, I consulted only reliable websites.?Those displaying the HONcode logo are considered to be more reputable than websites without it.?This logo represents a certification that the website complies with the Health on the Net principles, designed to increase the accuracy, objectivity, and trustworthiness of Internet health information.?
?
As you can see, this tale of three chemos, C, M, and F, is not one of woe.?Nor is it usually a tale of total hair loss.?Once chemo is through, the breast cancer patient is nearing the final stretch on the road to wellness.
Florida prepares for stupendous hog flu shot program - Windows Live

Obama is now wanting to add a Health Insurance czar….that is close to 20 czars. Remember these guys have a lot of power and are only accountable to the president and that is the problem. What is a “Czar”? A Czar is a monarch, an Emperor or a King who answers to no one except God. Was Obama elected as our GOD? Does the Constitution give the President the right to appoint Czars? No, it forbids this. According to Article II, Section 2, the President does not have the right to appoint public Ministers without the Advice and Consent of the Senate. No Senate hearing were ever held to evaluate or approve Obama’s czars. He has simply appointed them and Congress said nothing.

Senior Democrat Says Obama’s Czars Unconstitutional

Last week President Obama appointed yet another “czar” with massive government power, answering only to him. Even before this latest appointment, the top-ranking Democrat in the Senate wrote President Obama a letter saying that these czars are unconstitutional. President Obama’s “czar strategy” is an unprecedented power grab centralizing authority in the White House, outside congressional oversight and in violation of the Constitution.

As of last week, Czar Kenneth Feinberg has the authority to set the pay scale for executives at any company receiving government money (and how many aren’t, these days?). Czar Feinberg has the power to say that someone’s pay is excessive, and to make companies cut that pay until the czar is pleased. ( I might add can you say “socialism/fascism “?)

Congress did not give Czar Feinberg this authority. For that matter, Congress has not authorized any of the czars that President Barack Obama has created. Over the past thirty years presidents have each had one or two czars for various issues, and once the number went as high as five. But now, by some counts President Obama has created sixteen czars, and there may be more on the way. Each of these has enormous government power, and answers only to the president.

Ever since this practice of appointing czars began years ago, it has always been considered possible that they are all unconstitutional.

But President Obama has taken this to an unprecedented level, to the point where these appointments are dangerous to our constitutional regime. This has become too much for the longest-serving senator in U.S. history to stomach. Democratic Senator Robert Byrd is the president pro tempore of the U.S. Senate.

Senator Byrd wrote a letter to President Obama in February, criticizing the president’s strategy of creating czars to manage important areas of national policy. Senator Byrd said that these appointments violate both the constitutional system of checks and balances and the constitutional separation of powers, and is a clear attempt to evade congressional oversight. (And he's right)

And Senator Byrd is exactly correct. The Constitution commands that government officers with significant authority (called “principal officers”) are nominated by the president but then are subject to a confirmation vote by the U.S. Senate. And principal officers include not only cabinet-level department heads, but go five levels deep in executive appointments, to include assistant secretaries and deputy undersecretaries.

Inferior officers are appointed either by the president, cabinet-level officers, or the courts. But even then, the Constitution specifies that only Congress can authorize the making of such appointments. For these inferior officers, only Congress can create their offices, and also specify who appoints them. And such officers are still answerable to Congress. They are subject to subpoena to testify before Congress, and Congress holds the power of the purse by making annual appropriations for their division or program.

White House officials, by contrast, cannot be compelled to appear before Congress and testify.

Similar posts: florida health department

ideal soundness services: For those on Effexor or resembling medications

My doctor put me on anit-depressants for anxiety and related depression but everytime i go to take them I can't! I have a close friend whose asked me not to take them becuase of the bad side effects i had with effexor ( they put me into a depression) but latley I ve been having trouple with my sleeping and thats the reason why my doctor put me on them to help with the anxiety, depression and my sleep. I respect my friend so much that i cant do it but its not getting better (its still about the same) Would you listen to your friend whose there to help listen and to talk with you to help or my doctor whose just prescribing drugs ?
Answer:
Is your friend a doctor? Didn't think so. I'm sure your friend means well, but your doctor went to medical school, and spend years learning about how medications effect people and when they should be prescribed. He also has a lot of experience with how drugs effect people. If you're not satisfied with your current medication, talk to your doctor about changing it, but don't just stop taking it. Failing to take medication as prescribed can have serious consequences.

You should never stop taking antidepressants without first talking to your doctor, as stopping abruptly can cause significant, and potential dangerous withdrawal symptoms. Also, for anti-depressants to work properly, they have to be taken daily, not just when you feel like it. They take several weeks to achieve their full therapeutic effect, and skipping a few doses can reset that, undermining the efficacy of the treatment.

It's important that you discuss changes in your medication with your doctor, rather than simply changing it yourself. If you are experiencing negative side effects from the medication, then call your doctor and tell him what's going on, and he'll can discuss other options with you. There are many different types of antidepressants, and having had a bad experience with one does not mean you'll have the same experience with others. It's worth at least trying the current medication before deciding you don't want to take it. It generally takes 2-8 weeks for antidepressants to take effect, so if at all possible, you should try it for several weeks before deciding if you want to continue taking it.

Similar posts: effexor stop working

Symptoms Of Allergy Asthma
There are so many health supplements in the market today that it can be difficult to figure out what to use. Most people rely on their friends or doctors to tell them what to use, but it can still be difficult to choose the best brands.
Many people think that health supplements are the same as drugs which can cause many problems. Instead of taking them the way the bottle says to take them, they think that taking more is better. Just like taking too much of a specific drug creates a problem, taking too much of a health supplement can do the same.
There are many varieties of health supplements and what you use and how you use them depends upon your needs and this aricle is about some of the advantages of discount health supplements as well as their drawbacks and where you can get them.
Health Supplements for Weight Loss
Weight loss supplements are very popular, and you can find them in pills, liquids or powders. There are a number of protein drinks, pills and herbal remedies that promise to do a variety of things in weight loss. You can find something to change fat, lose fat or add fat. You can find ways to build up muscles and to slim down quickly. The best idea for weight loss still remains to eat a nutritional diet and do exercise.
Health Supplements For Stress
Stress relievers that are more popular than ever especially in these trying economic times. There are herbal supplements like 5-HTP or St. Johns Wort that help a person relive stress and balance emotions. There are other ones that help with relaxation and calming down. Its a good idea to talk to your doctor about any supplements you use to relieve stress or uplift your mood, to make sure you are getting the right supplements for your needs.
Health Supplements For Chronic Conditions
Many people have found herbal supplements that help with high cholesterol, heart challenges and high blood pressure. All of these are important to use, but it is also important that your doctor knows what you are taking.
Discount Health Supplements Vs. Paying Full Price
In todays economy everyone is looking for a way to save money. Health supplements for the most part will be less expensive than many drugs, especially if you do not have insurance. Some supplements are more expensive than others but there are many places that offer discount health supplements on the Internet. When you are deciding what to buy it is a good idea to check reviews on supplements, online. There are several discount stores to choose from.
If you are unsure of health supplements it is a wise idea to either do your research on the Internet or stop in to talk to a nutrition specialist at your nearest health food store. They have a wealth of information because they have studied certain supplements for various conditions.
You also should know that most health supplements have not been put through scientific study, but they have been shown to work for certain types of situation. It is a good idea to work with your doctor on any that you choose to take.

Similar posts: symptoms of asthma

I was recently diagnosed "severly depressed" and am seeking out help. I'm going to therapy %26 am being sent to a psychiatrist to get me started on medications. How long before I start to feel better? I am worried because I am increasingly losing hope as days go on...

Thanks
Answer:
hello jit, now, you just hang on there now... you must have been dealing with this for some time now and with help on the way is no time to give up, but to have hope! being in therapy is a great move, in the meantime, you can vent so freely with a good T, don't hold anything back. then make calls, if need be, to see how soon you will be seeing the psychiatrist to get your med(s) started. anti-depressants can take up to a full 8 weeks to be absorbed by the brain, though some people can notice a lift in mood sooner than that. but you will no doubt will be put on an "introductory dose" to see if you tolerate the med okay... then adjustments start, to where you are on a "maintenance dose". you will need to be patient during this process, i hope you will be, you need not suffer needlessly with this, it does get better! good luck.

Similar posts: lexapro ocd
Depression can often be treated with therapy alone, but some patients do decide to try prescription medication. The most commonly prescribed medications are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), tricyclics, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). It can take a while to find the right medication or combination of medications for each person, but all prescription depression medications have a risk of minor, or occasionally major, side effects.
If prescription medications arent working as well as youd like them to, or if youre unhappy with the side effects and risks that accompany them, you may decide to explore herbal remedies for depression. There are many natural cures for depression available in the marketplace, but its best to look for ones with a few key ingredients:
St. Johns Wort is one of the most effective natural ingredients for treating depression. In fact, in some countries like Germany, St. Johns Wort outsells many of the major prescription anti-depressive medications. The active ingredients in St. Johns Wort are believed to naturally boost serotonin levels, which helps lift spirits and ease depression.
Passion flower is a natural ingredient that is often used to treat sleep disorders and anxiety. It helps to soothe and calm, and when combined with St. Johns Wort can be a wonderful aid in treating depression naturally.
Depression is a life-consuming condition, but you do not have to suffer quietly. If you think have a depressive disorder, seek professional help to find the treatment options that are best for you and your condition, whether they include prescription medication or natural remedies for depression, and remember to explore a variety of options before making a decision.

This article is provided courtesy of Native Remedies.

Similar posts: alternative to paxil
Occasionally the itchy wheals go away after time, but many people suffer from recurrent episodes of urticaria that can last over than six weeks, or idiopathic urticaria, where the fundamental cause can be difficult or impossible to diagnose, even with abundant testing.
People who go through hives try many remedies to ease the irritating rash, such as creams, pills, hot showers, even steroids but people are different—and often go through changing reactions to treatment. What works for one person may not work at all for another;
No pills, no creams—relieves multiple symptoms…
Tired of having to remember to take a pill for this…and a cream for that? Treatment may not be needed if the hives are mild. Hives may disappear after given time, but several symptoms of hives with one easy application may be available for busy people on the go.

Similar posts: claritin for hives

Home Remedies That Help Attending Arthritic Mitigation | Nutritional

There are more than one hundred types of joint inflammation commonly called Arthritis. If you or a loved one is believed to be suffering from Arthritis early detection and treatment is crucial. Many Arthritis sufferers attempt to treat the disease with only nutritional supplements for arthritis; however if allowed to go untreated Arthritis can progress and result in joint damage that cannot be undone.
While it is true that the two most common forms of arthritis, Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis, can display similar symptoms - they are caused by different circumstances. The breaking down of the cushioning cartilage protecting the joint, caused by abuse or overuse of the joint, resulting in severe pain or discomfort is called Osteoarthritis. This can occur in the hands, spine and hips, but most commonly occurs in the knees. A person usually will not feel unacceptable pain until much of the cartilage is deteriorated in the later stages of the disease.
Rheumatoid Arthritis, the other of the two most common types, is in reference to the bodys immune system attacking the tissue in the joints. Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is not fully understood by the medical professionals, most often begins in the hands, wrists and feet. Later it may progress into the shoulders, elbows and hips of the victims.
The two most common forms of Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis both display similar symptoms including joint pain, stiffness, fatigue, weakness, slight fever and inflamed tissue lumps in the flesh of the joints. The progress of both these types of Arthritis is in nature, that is, they affect the same joints on both the sides of the body as the disease advances. A noteworthy difference between Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis is swelling in the joints. With Osteoarthritis people report that the swelling is firm and bonelike, while with Rheumatoid Arthritis the swelling reported is softish and spongy. Although certain nutritional supplements for arthritis are reported as being helpful in treating the pain and discomfort of both types of Arthritis, a consultation with your Physician is recommended.
Rheumatoid Arthritis often occurs if a persons parent or sibling has the disease. While Osteoarthritis is more prevalent in people with a history of joint damage, either chronic strain or injury. While generally afflicting those who are over 45 years of age, Arthritis is not limited to any age group. While Arthritis may attack both men and women, 74% of the reported cases of Osteoarthritis and a slightly lower percentage of Rheumatoid Arthritis are occurring among women.
Oftentimes Osteoarthritis sets in, particularly in the knees, of people 45 years and older who carry a lot of excess weight. For those who are overweight losing weight alone can reduce the risk of developing Osteoarthritis by up to 50%. Regular activity combined with exercise may also lessen the risk by strengthening the joint muscles which may help to reduce damage to the joints.
To alleviate the pain caused by arthritis a sufferer should assure that s/he gets gentle exercise, rest and good nutrition, as well as maintaining a positive mental attitude. Other pain relief strategies are medication prescribed by a physician, nutritional supplements for arthritis, and joint replacement surgery.
Please keep in mind that although many sufferers report that certain nutritional supplements for arthritis are helpful in reducing pain and swelling, for those suspecting they might have arthritis it is recommended that you consult with your physician.

Similar posts: remedies for arthritis

Gave my daughter over much singulair: Purchase viagra online 35008

By contrast, compounding pharmacist louis increases antidepressants in prescriptions for SSRIs and other new-generation non-SSRIs are associated with lower suicide rates both between and within counties over time and may reflect antidepressant efficacy, compliance, a better quality of mental soundness care, and low toxicity in the event of a suicide attempt by overdose. Chi-square tests for trend and multivariable logistic regression models were utilized to examine antidepressants patterns of antidepressant use over time. Analysis of National Vital Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. National county-level suicide rate data are broken down by age, sex, income, and race for the period of 1996 to 1998.
SSRIs (Citalopram ( Celexa ), Fluoxetine ( Prozac ), fluvoxamine, Paroxetine ( Paxil ), Sertraline HCL ( Zoloft )) and newer non-SSRI antidepressants (Bupropion ( Wellbutrin wellbutrin SR ), Mirtazapine ( Remeron ), nefazodone, Venlafaxine ( Effexor )) were classified can you take advil with wellbutrin as newer agents. All US individuals who committed suicide between 1996 and 1998. Higher suicide rates in rural areas are associated with fewer antidepressant prescriptions, lower income, and relatively more prescriptions for TCAs.
The primary outcome measure is the suicide clinical pharmacist job europe rate in each county expressed as the number online pharmacy of suicides for a given population size. The purpose of this study was to extend previous work on trends in antidepressant use to include recent data and to provide more detailed analysis of prescribing trends for SSRIs and newer non-SSRI antidepressants, save drug store specifically in adult primary care practice. The detailed pattern of increased use of these medications is striking, with each new online pharmacy isomer adding to aggregate use without concomitant decrease in previously introduced newer agents. Although 60% of suicides occur during a mood disorder, mostly untreated, little is known about the relationship between antidepressant medication use and the rate of suicide in wellbutrin the United tramadol hydrochloride buy States. Such trends reflect more widespread pharmacologic treatment of depressed primary care patients..
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES. A high medcare prescription drugs number of TCA prescriptions may be a marker for those counties with more limited access to quality mental health care and inadequate treatment and detection of depression, which in turn lead to increased suicide rates. Approximately 30 000 people die annually by suicide in the United States.
Results are adjusted for age, sex, race, income, and county-to-county variability in suicide rates. A positive association between tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) prescription and suicide rate was observed. National county-level antidepressant prescription muniments are expressed as number of pills prescribed. Adult primary care visits from the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) between 1989 and 2000 were analyzed. The relationship between antidepressant drugstore vita bath medication use and rate of suicide.BACKGROUND. The overall relationship between antidepressant medication prescription and suicide rate was not significant.
Within individual classes of antidepressants, prescriptions for selective serotonin chemist contraceptive pills reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and other new-generation non-SSRI how get off antidepressants antidepressants (eg, nefazodone hydrochloride, Mirtazapine ( Remeron ), Bupropion ( Wellbutrin SR ) hydrochloride, and Venlafaxine ( Effexor ) hydrochloride) are associated with lower suicide rates (both within and between counties). Trends in Prescribing of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors and Other Newer antidepressant Agents in Adult Primary Care.BACKGROUND. To examine the association between antidepressant medication prescription and canadian pharmacy online aborticide rate by analyzing associations at the county level across the United States.
The prevalence of antidepressant use in adult primary care has risen dramatically since 1989, largely reflecting use of newer agents. The increase in antidepressant use was due to these newer agents (13.5% of all antidepressant use in 1989 to 82.3% in 2000) with each new agent adding to a stable base of previously introduced newer antidepressant agents. 89,424 adult primary care visits were recorded in the NAMCS during the period studied. The aggregate nature of these observational data preclude a direct causal interpretation of the results. Antidepressant use increased in primary care from 2.6% ( approximately 6 million visits) in 1989 to 7.1% ( approximately 20.5 million) in 2000 (p .001).
The introduction of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) represented a breakthrough in depression treatment due to their safety and ease of use. SSRI and newer non-SSRI use increased linearly from 1989 to 2000 (p .001), with an adjusted odds ratio for use of 1.27 per year (95% confidence interval 1.25 to 1.29).

Similar posts: online viagra prescriptions

Mummys Roll together » Of long duration Egyptian Medical Practices Part 2
The Ecosystems of Ancient Egypt
The boundaries of ancient Egypt spanned from the First Cataract of the Nile River in the south to the Delta in the north and from the Red Sea in the east to the Western Oases. Life abounds in ancient Egypt, allowing nearly anything to be grown in the fertile soils along the banks of the Nile and in the Oasis depressions of the Western Desert (Nunn: 1996, 8).
Key to the survival of the Nile Valley civilization was the Nile River. Every year, thanks to the monsoons in Ethiopia, the Nile flooded its banks, causing a rush of water carrying a new layer of silt to cover the nutrient deprived soil from the previous year. The land affected directly by the inundation of the Nile was known as the Black Land or Kemet in the ancient language. The deserts and other areas not directly affected by the flood were known as the Red Land or Deshret (Nunn: 1996, 8). While the Nile Valley depends on the Nile’s annual flood, there is no connection between the River Nile and the Oases. The Oases, in fact, depend entirely on natural groundwater, as will be discussed later (Heinl: 1989).
The Oases are celebrated throughout history as jewels of fertility. This is true, but the truth is accentuated by the surrounding bleakness of the desert. When approaching the Oases, one sees nothing besides the dusty, lifeless golden sands of the Sahara. The monotony is broken by little jewels of green that cling to life in the middle of an unforgiving oven. In antiquity, such plants as dates, grapes for wine, olives, doum palms, and acacia trees have been grown in the Oases with great success. These crops, also grown in the Nile Valley, were successful due to the fertility of the Oases (Giddy: 1987, 4). If the annual inundation was good enough in the Nile Valley, food was never a worry for the ancient Egyptians and most years the flood was ample enough to ensure a good food supply for the rest of the year. Also, if the fertility of the Oases held true, again there was an ample supply of food. This abundance of food left a great deal of time allotted for other pursuits, among these writing, artistry, and medicine (Nunn: 1996, 23).
The Oases of Egypt consist of five major geological depressions. From North to South, these depressions, or Oases, are Siwa, Bahariya, Farafra, Dakhleh and Kharga (Giddy: 1987, 1). The Oases are actually located approximately 300 meters below the Libyan Plateau on which the Nile Valley is located (Kleindienst: 1999, 8). These depressions, located at the base of the Libyan Plateau escarpment, rest on a bed of sandstone known as the Nubian Sandstone Series. Water is supplied to these depressions through a bed of sandstone known as the Taref formation, which may contain the thickest ground water layer in the world (Giddy: 1987, 1). The Taref sandstone is highly porous and is incased in shale creating a perfect natural aquifer that can carry water for miles without much water escaping (Giddy: 1987, 4). This sandstone aquifer underlies a great deal, if not the entirety, of the desert, but is only accessible to the depressions that dip into the aquifer, exposing the water enough to allow life to flourish in the middle of the Sahara (Giddy: 1987, 1). The water in this natural aquifer is ancient water, hailing from Pre-dynastic times when the Sahara was humid.

Similar posts: ancient egypt medicine

Last post looked at Galatians and 1 Thessalonians. Now for 1 Corinthians.
1 Corinthians 1:13, 17-18, 22-25
Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? . . . . For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. . . . For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
I do not see how it is possible to read a criminal or religious trial and execution into the above references to the crucifixion of Christ, unless by overfamiliarity and divine fiat.
These are among the earliest references to the crucifixion of Jesus, according to the most widely accepted dating (that is, that the Pauline letters were composed from the mid first -century c.e.).
The notion of the crucifixion of Christ at this point is that it is a spiritual power and form of divine wisdom.
It is not as if we have any evidence that there was a real criminal trial and execution over which early disciples of Jesus were confused and embarrassed, and that they later rationalized as some form of spiritual power or . Note, it is not the resurrection that infuses spiritual power or wisdom, but the crucifixion. One could understand confused and embarrassed followers pointing to earlier miracles or the subsequent resurrection on which to rationalize and vindicate their faith. But that is not what we find here at all.
The second half of the above is even less consistent with the concept of an historical event.
The reason the Jews rejected the message of the crucifixion was because it was not a public miracle. The Jews require a sign for this reason the crucifixion was a stumblingblock. To judge by Pauls statements here, it is as if there never were any conflict between Jesus and the Jews over blasphemous claims or violations of legal codes or envy over Jesus abilities to pull in large crowds. As far as Paul is aware, the reason the Jews do not accept Jesus as their Messiah is because the sign of his Messiahship was not a public miracle.
Had there been an historical crucifixion somewhat along the broad outline we read in the decades later canonical gospels, surely the reason the Jews rejected Jesus was because they believed he was a blasphemer or demon-possessed deceiver and spoke against the Temple and taught people to violate of the Mosaic law.
The reason given here for the Greeks rejecting the Messiahship of Jesus is just as problematic if we insist on a gospel like narrative of a crucifixion.
Pauls reason for the Greeks rejecting Jesus was because they could not see any philosophical wisdom in a crucifixion. Note that there is no hint in Pauls mind that a crucifixion might actually indicate criminality of the victim.
Paul is saying that Jews and Greeks do not accept the crucifixion because it was either not a public miracle or it was not a philosophical tenet. That speaks volumes for what the message of the crucifixion was and was not. It was a theological concept claiming to be a miraculous power and secret wisdom for those who were called by God to understand. It was not an historical event involving a trial over violation of civil or religious laws.
If we insist on arguing that Pauls view was a rationalization and attempt to deny a real historical event, then we are in danger of arguing from mere assumption and in defiance of the earliest evidence.
(I understand that sometimes later evidence can point to earlier events, but it must also be consistent with the earlier evidence. Mere assumption and hypotheses pulled out of imaginative airs cannot replace material evidence.)
1 Corinthians 2:1-2
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Pauls message about the crucifixion was the testimony of God. It was not the testimony of men or other apostles or eyewitnesses or official reports or the grapevine. It was not the testimony of a Jesus in a vision. It was the testimony of God.
This testimony of God was Jesus Christ and him crucified. Jesus Christ, and him crucified, was not from eyewitness or second or third hand historical testimony. It was a message from God.
1 Corinthians 2:7-8
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Here Paul returns to the message or testimony of God, and the wisdom of God which he earlier explained was Christ crucified.
Had the princes of this world known the wisdom of God they would not have crucified Christ. Princes of the world. Not the governor Pilate of the Jews. Not King Herod or the Jewish Sanhedrin of the Jews. Pauline letters elsewhere speak of struggling against higher powers in spiritual warfare. Daniel (and apocalyptic Second Temple authors) understood Princes of this world to be angelic powers.
Of course one can interpret this to mean that the angelic powers directed Pilate to crucify Jesus. But that is to read the earlier evidence through the theology and narrative of the later evidence.
Lets see first of all how much understanding we can gain of Pauls message by examining it one archaeological layer at a time and slowly working our way up.

Similar posts: ancient egypt medicine

Massage / Massacre « Run Fast

Lately these posts have just been writing themselves.
For the record, this post is going to be 1% running. 0% veganism. and 99% are you kidding me?!
Also, if you have a certain relatively untainted perception of me as a person and dont want that ruined (read: my parents), dont read this post. For the rest of you that see my shortcomings and annoyances somewhat charming, do read on.
SO! Last year I made a bumper sticker. In a moment of perhaps divine inspiration a thought came to me. It said, Fuck this. Im going running. and I thought, What a great idea for a bumper sticker! Man! I want a bumper sticker that says that! Of course, I know no one else has actually made, or would make, that bumper sticker, so what else was I to do but put my Do It Yourself punk ethics to practice and make it myself! So thats what I did. And since the shortest print run for bumper stickers was 250, I had to go ahead and make 250 bumper stickers, which with the most meager of marketing promotions has sent them overseas and across the nation. Still, I have a lot left, which is a good thing because these suckers get people really riled up and Ive actually had it ripped off my car twice. Im assuming this was done because of the word and not because someone was infuriated that I wanted to go running, but hey, people are weird, ya never know.
Anyways, this morning I did my 20 miles out at Eagle Creek, picked up a couple soy iced lattes for myself and Michelle for her birthday and was quite satisfied with how my morning was starting out. Continuing my drive home I stop behind some cars at a stop light and a large truck pulls up along side of me. Just then my spidey senses started tingling and I got the feeling someone was trying to get my attention. I look over to my left to see a middle aged man mouthing something towards me. I turned down my radio, turned his way, and the conversation went like this.
s that?
- I cant believe you have profanity on your car. said in a tone of voice that conveyed that he actually COULD believe that I had profanity on my car and saw a prime opportunity to let me know how righteous he is about his place in the world. He then followed that up with
- I have children.
Without but a few moments to come up with a witty comeback, I turned to him and said, with a tone of defensive arrogance,
believe it!
The light turns green and just as he starts to pull away, he very matter of factly replies,
- You should be arrested.
I laughed, but unfortunately I dont think he saw me.
See, Ive gotten a lot of unexpected responses to this bumper sticker, most quite surprising, and the experiences have actually afforded me the fortune of giving this dynamic a lot of thinking, but this one really takes the cake.
This is what I dont get. So many people have bumper stickers and although most are humorous (Id like to believe mine falls into that category), many are legitimately offensive in that their message calls for a direct intrusion into others lives. Most of those are political stickers that lean towards homophobia, racism or something of the like. Granted, the owners of those stickers probably get a lot of verbal flack, but again, those stickers are about actual ISSUES. Mine is about running. Now, I know people arent responding to the act of running, but thats the point. If they are simply responding to the word , then surely they must live extremely sheltered lives in that a simple word solicits such anger and verbal response.
And geezs just a word. Now, Im not in the school of thought that seeks to devalue profanities of their power. The word is a very powerful word. Then again, so is Cunt, Fag, Bitch, Retarded, etc., but most people use those with the same carelessness they utilize for culturally normative language. So yes, is a powerful word.which is why it works so great! Its strong, its powerful, and its EXPRESSIVE. The power of the word gives the user the ability to really convey the strength of their emotions. For example, imagine I called you a jerk. Big deal right? But what if I said, re a fuckin jerk. Or even, Fuck you, you motherfucking jerk. Little different yeah?
But it goes deeper than that. A lot of people get offended by the word because they accept that it holds an inherently NEGATIVE association, but how many times have you said, Fuck yeah! or That was fuckin awesome! So, not only does the term embody a deeply negative association, but it can also hold a deeply positive association.which SHOULD be apparent in my bumper sticker. Wait, thats not true actually. The sticker doesnt say m going FUCKING running. Its says Fuck this. What actually is, is up for the reader to decide. So actually, it does hold a negative association in this specific usage, though I would argue it is part of a more positive whole in that Ive taken a negative scenario and changed it to something positive.running! I mean, it could be worse. It could say, Fuck this. Lets get high! I wonder what part of that sticker would make people more angry. Maybe the reference to drugs would even make the profanity pale in comparison.
When I really think about it, I actually dont think the negative reactions have anything to do with the word at all..or at least fundamentally. I think peoples reactions more has to do with the perceived arrogance of using the term publicly and casually. I think people see the sticker as an affront to our dominant cultures moral foundation, where everyone loves jesus, loves america, supports the troops, goes to church, doesnt cheat on their wives, and most certainly under no circumstance whatsoeverEVER uses profanity (But guess what.i never signed your dominant cultures social contract). I think that because Ive used profanity publicly is one thing, but because Ive used it CASUALLY is what really freaks people out. I mean, PEOPLE HAVE CHILDREN! (like me). What will these wholesome parents ever do if *gasp* a child asks them about the world!!! I mean, they might have to EXPLAIN it and exert INFLUENCE on them! The horror! I mean, Kids are to be put in a bubble and shown videos of veggie tales until they are old enough to have intercourse only for the sake of procreation.duh.
Since I brought up moral foundation, lets make a point about that as well. Obviously my sticker about running offended this mans moral foundation, which by his need to point out the of the sticker to me, implies that his moral foundation is the CORRECT moral foundation and Im simply misguided. I mean, if he wasnt so confident that he was undeniably right, he wouldnt have said anything right? I had committed such a serious offense to his moral foundation that he went as far as saying I should be and presumably thrown in jail, my freedom revoked. Now, I really think that saying I should be arrested was just a desperate attempt to express his frustration that he disapproved of my bumper sticker but couldnt (or wouldnt) actually do anything to stop it from existing, but I also find it amusing that the very concept that I should be arrested runs deeply opposed to MY foundation (if I believed in the concept) in that I am an anarchist and reject the use of law (read: moral force), but of course, thats just absurd right? I mean, its one thing to have an offensive bumper sticker, but is the proper response to being offended by a mere expression, no matter how uncomfortable it makes one feel, be to take away someones freedom and physically restrain them? Freedom of speech what?
Ultimately, this stuff cracks me up. I know the people that are so incredibly offended by a sticker about running, a sticker that merely expresses my frustration towards the mundane and turns it into the positive act of RUNNING, are simply scared, insecure individuals who dont know how to separate themselves from the parts of the world they dont agree with. Thats coolcause while they are losing sleep over their inability to actually do anything about the world, probably driving themselves straight into a heart attack, Im out there confidently enjoying myself and FUCKING RUNNING! Sorry bout cha.
By the way.anyone want a bumper sticker?
-
Log
2:17 of running. Easy pace, probably over 20 miles actually. Felt stupidly good. No late day fatigue. I dont get it. I debated doing a second run today, but decided to play it safe.
Diet
Breakfast 2 pieces of toast with peanut butter, coffee
Lunch peanut butter and jelly, water
Dinner Tacos (beans, rice, veggie crumbles, avocado, tomatoes, vegan sour cream)
Dessert Vegan mocha strawberry cake with coffee icing (feeling the buzz! happy bday michelle.

Similar posts: chicago massage therapy
